UUID Generator
Generate UUIDs (v4) - single or bulk, with options
What is a UUID?
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a 128-bit identifier that is globally unique. The most common variant is UUID v4, which is based on random numbers and has practically no collision risk. UUIDs are represented as 32 hexadecimal characters, grouped into 5 blocks in the format 8-4-4-4-12. They are the standard for unique identifiers in databases, APIs, and distributed systems. UUIDs eliminate the need for centralized ID generation, making them perfect for microservices and distributed architectures.
How do I use the UUID Generator?
Set the desired count (1 to 100), choose whether you want uppercase or hyphens, and click "Generate". Each UUID can be copied individually, and when generating multiple UUIDs, there is also a "Copy All" button. The generation uses your browser's secure crypto.randomUUID() method for cryptographically strong random values.
Why generate UUIDs online?
Our UUID Generator creates cryptographically secure UUIDs directly in your browser. You need no terminal, no programming language, and no installation. Ideal for quick tests, database seeds, or when you simply need a unique ID. Everything runs locally - no data is transmitted to any server, ensuring your generated identifiers remain completely private.
